Welcome to the first blog post on ‘Identity in Christ Journal.’ In this blog series, I will go over how you can find your identity in Christ with bible verses that will help you to believe the truth in what God says about you.
There’s so many lies that we tell ourselves that just simply aren’t true. A few could be “I’m not loved”, “I’m not strong”, “I’m not worthily”, “I’m not a good person”, and so on. But God tells us differently. We are loved, we are strong, we are worthily, and we are good people.
When we believe we aren’t deserving, it’s a lie that was created by 1) ourselves, 2) by someone else, 3) something that we have done or 4) something someone has done to us. Some say that it’s Satan that’s out to destroy us and to make up these lies. We have to fight those negative thoughts and turn them in to positive thoughts and God can help us with that.
Affirmations is a great way to start transforming those lies we tell ourselves. We can use biblical affirmations in our lives to help us to believe what God says about us. When we do this, we can find our own identity in Christ alone. We will become more aware of Jesus in our lives and we can start to act like him as well. Once we love ourselves unconditionally, we can love everyone around us and bring light into there world.

Supplies
- A journal and pen. I got mine from Walmart. I could’t find a link to the journal I got but it’s by U Style.
- Clear and/or white sticker paper and scissors. I use Avery Clear Label paper and white matte sticker paper I found on Amazon.
- Printable sticker sheets. I used my own stickers that I created for this journal. You can grab the kit at my Etsy Shop and you can download the free sticker sheet here.
- A prayer and Identity in Christ plan that you can find at my Pinterest board.
