Bible Journaling with Christin | He Has Risen | Easter

Welcome to another Bible Journaling with Christin. I can’t tell y’all how much I love doing these for you all. I do have other pages that I’ve done in the pass that I may show. I was thinking about doing a flip through of my passed bible journaling pages. I just haven’t figured out how I want to do that just yet. Just know that it’s coming soon and I promise you don’t want to miss it. But for now, we will be journaling Luke 24:6 and Mark 16:6.

The stickers I will use today is from my Easter printable sticker collection. If you need help on what supplies to use, you can read up on the blog post here. Let’s get started with todays journaling.

In Mark 16 we read a little bit about what has happened with the resurrection of Jesus from Mark’s point of view. There’s a short version and a longer version under Mark 16:1-7. I’m going to sum up the short version real quick.

Mary Magdalene, Mary, and Salome went to purchase burial spices to anoint Jesus’ body. But on Sunday morning when they went to the tomb, Jesus’s body was not there. When they entered the tomb, a young man was there. The women was shocked and the young man (an angel) said

Don’ be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body. Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.

In Luke 24, it says pretty much the same thing that Mark says but this is from Luke’s point of view.

Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t her! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.

The rest of Luke goes into detail about what happens after Jesus has risen but is summed up. Where in Mark all it says is the the disciples went everywhere and preached about the gospel. In Matthew 28 and John 20 they also explain what happens at the time of Jesus’s resurrection. In Matthew, there’s not much said about what the disciples do next but in John, there’s great details about Jesus appearing to his disciples.

My stickers can be used in any of those books or anywhere in the bible where is speaks about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is why I had a hard time just choosing two to journal as you can see in the video below. All in all, I’m happy with how the pages came out and I can’t wait to use the left over stickers I have.
