My Identity in Christ | I am Safe & Secure

I know it’s been awhile since I posted. April is always a super busy month for us. We celebrate three birthdays and of course Easter. Then there’s spring brake and spending lots of time with family. April is one of my most favorite months because of spring and Easter. Now it’s even more special because of my husband and my two boys. Anyways, today will will be journaling in our Identity in Christ Journal. If you would like to see my other blog posts about this journal you can go here.

The verses we will look at will be Psalms 91:1-2 and John 10:28-29. This verses talk about how you are safe and secure in Jesus Christ and that no one can take this away from you. Let’s jump into these verses.

The first verse will be Psalms 91:1-2. These two verses let us know that we can go to God for refuge. That we are safe within God.

He who dwells in the shelter of the most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

I asked the question “What does it mean to you to have refuge within God?” Then I followed it with a prayer.

Dear God,

Thank you for allowing me to seek refuge within you. I trust in you Lord that you will keep me safe from spiritual attack. God, you are my fortress and I’m si grateful that you are in my life.

The next verses are from John 10:28-29. These two verses talk about how you have eternal life within Jesus Christ and that no one can take that away from you. Therefore you are secure within Jesus.

I give them eternal life, and they will not perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

I asked these two questions below:

1. How are you able to have eternal life?

2. What does it mean to you to have faith in Jesus Christ?

This coming week we will continue to write in our Identity in Christ journal. I may do four verses to catch up because I am behind. I hope you all have a blessed day/night and I’ll be back with more journaling for you all.
